ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR NOVEMBER 5, 2023

If you would like to be included in our “Outreach” group text messages, please provide your phone number to Carol Reisner so that you can be made aware of Outreach meetings and/or happenings. We are hoping to increase our footprint in the community.

Please spread the word. Bascom Community Church will be beginning a Kid’s Club starting on Saturday, December 2^nd. On the first Saturday of each month, the Kid’s Club will be welcoming those kiddos between 3 and 10 years of age for some fun and discussion about God’s goodness. The club will be meeting from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Also, if you are available to volunteer, we will need helpers! A flyer will be coming soon! Please see Carol Reisner or a member of the Outreach Team for additional information.

The church had to get a new checking account due to our name change, so please remember to make any checks out to “Bascom Community Church” so that they can be cashed.  Thank you!

The next date for “Mommy and Me” is Friday, November 10th from 2:00-3:30 pm. Please sign up on the sheet on the office door if you plan on assisting with the session. The next scheduled date is December 8th.

We have a new email address. It is bascomcommunitychurch@gmail.com.

We will be having a potluck today after our worship service. If you forgot to bring something, it is all good. We have plenty. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall.

Tom & Jane Rex’s great-grandsons Sholey McGown (3 years old) and Simon McGown (7 months old) will be baptized on Sunday, November 12^th. Mom is Breese McGown.

Please make sure to mark any “event” on the calendar posted on the door to the church office. We are trying to make sure there is one location where all can go to see any event involving the church. Thank you!

Please finish filling your Operation Christmas Child shoebox and return it to the church by next Sunday, November 12^th. The United Methodist Women will cover the $10 per box shipping fee if financial assistance is needed. Please see Betty or Juanita.

Our Ecumenical Thanksgiving Worship Service will be Sunday, November 19^th. Details soon to be available.

Our annual Hanging of the Greens (decorating the church building for Advent) will be on Sunday, November 26^th after our Worship Service.

As Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year, we will be having one service on Sunday, December 24th at 10:30 a.m. This service will follow our Christmas Eve service format.
